Economic Theory
The research group in economic theory is an interdisciplinary team bringing together mathematicians, computer scientists, and economists working on the modeling of economic and social interactions. Their research covers decision theory, game theory, general equilibrium theory, social choice theory and computational social choice, econometrics, operations research, network theory, and their applications.
The team aims to be a central hub for research in economic theory in Europe and worldwide, through the quality and originality of its work; the coordination of research projects (Horizon Europe projects, ANR projects), doctoral training programs (Marie Curie ITN projects, Franco-German PhD program, co-supervised theses), and master’s programs (Erasmus Mundus QEM master’s, MMMEF master’s, and IRFA master’s); the organization of international conferences, workshops, and scientific events; as well as through hosting numerous foreign researchers and doctoral students.
