Four CES PhD Candidates at the Devenir Festival (Citéco)
The Centre d’Économie de la Sorbonne is pleased to announce the participation of four of its PhD candidates in the Devenir Festival, organized by the Cité de l’Économie, from April 9 to 12, 2026.
For its fifth edition, this multidisciplinary festival features around thirty events — including performances, round tables, conferences, workshops, and guided tours — exploring major contemporary economic issues at the intersection of the arts and social sciences.
As part of the program, CES PhD candidates will take part in the “My Thesis in 180 Seconds”-style session « Ma thèse en scène » on Saturday, April 11. This original format aims to make research accessible to a broad audience through short, engaging, and educational presentations.
They will present their work on a range of timely topics, such as environmental transitions, migration, reindustrialization, and international trade, showcasing the diversity and richness of research conducted at the Centre.
The participating PhD candidates are:
– Yanis Bekhti (CES, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne)
– Benoit Chaulvet (CES, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne)
– Elsa Poupelin (CES, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne)
– Mohamed Afifi (CES, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne)
The CES warmly encourages its PhD candidates in this great opportunity to showcase their research and contribute to the dialogue between academia and society.
