Sylvain Carré – Recipient of the 2026 Institut Bachelier Prize
The Centre d'Economie de la Sorbonne is pleased to announce that Sylvain Carré, Full Professor of Economics at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, is among the recipients of the EIF (Europlace Institute of Finance | Institut Louis Bachelier) – SCOR Foundation for Science Prize for Best Young Researcher in Finance and Insurance.
Awarded annually since 2005, this prize recognizes researchers under the age of 40 whose work makes a significant contribution to advances in finance, insurance, and risk analysis.
For this edition, the prize has been jointly awarded to:
- Sylvain Carré, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne
- Roxana Dumitrescu, ENSAE Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris
The prize was presented by Elyès Jouini, Academic Vice President of the Institut Louis Bachelier, and Philippe Trainar, Director of the SCOR Foundation for Science.
The CES warmly congratulates Sylvain Carré on this distinction, as well as all the laureates, for the excellence of their research and their contribution to the advancement of knowledge in finance and insurance.
